The Effect:

Every Dog Has Its Day

They say a dog is man's best friend — but with Ruff Tags, he's also your best accomplice.
You introduce your keyring, complete with a picture of your four-legged friend. Then you spill out a tin of twelve dog tags, each one labelled with a dog's name — and each one hilariously misspelled. Wrecks. Angle. Pee-Nut. (Rex. Angel. Peanut!)

Your spectator mixes the tags in their own hands and drops them onto the table. Any tag that lands face down is eliminated. Again and again, until just one tag survives — a tag nobody but fate could have chosen.

Was it WRECKS or maybe ANGLE?

You return to your keyring and show the picture of your dog again. Your dog is either lying at a perfect right ANGLE… or surrounded by the stuffing from every cushion he has ever WRECKED. The keyring matches the selected tag. Every single time.

The CS Magic Difference: Why We Created This

Most pet-themed effects ask you to carry a fragile photo or force a single outcome. Ruff Tags is a genuine free-choice selection — the spectator does the mixing, the dropping, and the eliminating, and both outs are fully supplied.

Two sets of gimmicks, so the trick can be repeated immediately with a different result.

Every Ruff Tags set is designed, tested, and hand-finished in our UK studio, and comes complete with an exclusive video tutorial teaching the handling and the presentation that make this a real worker for close-up, parlour, and walk-around.
